The Directorate of Agriculture in Tubas and the Northern Jordan Valley participated in the fifth phase of distributing supplies for the rehabilitation of existing vineyards to beneficiary farmers in the Tubas Governorate. This initiative was carried out under the supervision and with the participation of the Directorate, in cooperation with the Agricultural Development Association (Agricultural Relief), as part of the project "Improving Livelihoods, Food Security, and Sustainable Economic Growth in the West Bank and Gaza Strip – Palestine," funded by the Dutch Representative Office.

This phase targeted 51 farmers who own existing vineyards with a total area of 90 dunams. The distribution included the necessary metal supplies for constructing agricultural trellises and netting, with the aim of developing the vineyards and improving production efficiency and crop quality.

The Directorate of Agriculture in Tubas and the Northern Jordan Valley affirms that this activity is part of ongoing efforts to support farmers and enhance the sustainability of the agricultural sector by developing farm infrastructure and improving agricultural practices. This contributes to increased productivity and improved economic income for beneficiary farming families. The project also includes providing agricultural extension services and technical support to beneficiary farmers, ensuring the optimal use of distributed agricultural inputs and achieving the best possible production results. This is in addition to enhancing farmers' capabilities and developing their skills in managing vineyards according to sound agricultural practices.

The project targets several locations in Tubas and Northern Jordan Valley governorates, including Aqaba, Tammoun, Atouf, Tayasir, and Salhab, contributing to strengthening farmers' resilience, improving their livelihoods, and supporting the sustainability of agricultural production in the governorate.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirms its continued cooperation with partner institutions and supporting entities to implement development projects aimed at developing the agricultural sector, empowering farmers to overcome challenges, and strengthening their resilience on their land, thereby achieving sustainable agricultural development and food security.
