Ministry of Agriculture: Under the supervision and participation of the Central Hebron Agriculture Directorate, Areej and the Unified Palestinian Call deliver home garden supplies in Wadi Al-Saman.

Under the supervision and with the participation of Hebron Directorate of Agriculture, the Applied Research Institute – Jerusalem (ARIJ) and the United Palestinian Appeal (UPA) delivered home garden equipment to 15 beneficiaries in Wadi al-Saman area of ​​Hebron Governorate. This initiative is part of the "Innovative and Sustainable Solutions in the Agriculture and Water Sectors to Enhance Food Security and Resilience in the Face of Climate Change and Economic Challenges" project, implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture.

This step aims to support home gardening and enhance the ability of beneficiary families to produce a portion of their food needs. It also seeks to improve the efficiency of resource utilization and provide agricultural supplies that contribute to strengthening the climate and economic resilience of rural families.

The field visit included the announcement of the launch of the home gardening activity in the area, as well as an opportunity to learn from the experiences of beneficiaries of similar previous projects. The goal was to exchange expertise and benefit from lessons learned and successful experiences, thereby enhancing the quality, effectiveness, and sustainability of agricultural interventions.

Home gardening supplies were also distributed to beneficiaries, enabling them to start productive home gardens and utilize available resources sustainably. This will enhance their ability to meet a portion of their families' food needs, particularly in light of economic challenges, resource scarcity, and the increasing impacts of climate change.

The project reflects the partners' commitment to implementing practical and sustainable agricultural solutions that link food security, water resource management, climate and economic resilience, and support for rural families. It aims to develop their capacity to overcome challenges and improve their ability to produce a portion of their food needs.

The project is implemented by the Applied Research Institute – Jerusalem (ARIJ), with funding from the United Palestinian Appeal (UPA), and in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture.
