Ministry of Agriculture: Salfit Agriculture Directorate delivered a package of agricultural supplies and equipments, to 29 farmers in Iskaka and Farkha, with funding from (UNDP).

Under the supervision and participation of Salfit Directorate of Agriculture, a package of agricultural supplies was delivered to 29 farmers participating in the field schools in the villages of Iskaka and Farkha. This distribution was funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as part of its support for olive farmers and the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices.

The package included 1,000 bags of organic compost, 1,000 plastic containers for olive fruit fly traps, 150 barrels for supplemental irrigation, 1,050 burlap sacks for harvesting olives, 90 harvesting mats, 90 liters of liquid organic fertilizer, 19 olive harvesters, 19 weed control devices, 28 electric shears, and 28 hand saws. These supplies will contribute to improving agricultural operations and increasing the efficiency of olive production.

This intervention is part of the field school activities implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture to enhance farmers' knowledge of sound agricultural practices, provide them with the necessary inputs and tools to improve production quality, reduce agricultural pests, and lower agricultural service costs.

The Ministry of Agriculture, in cooperation with its partners, continues to implement programs aimed at empowering farmers and improving the efficiency of the agricultural sector by providing agricultural inputs, developing production practices, and strengthening farmers' resilience, thus contributing to achieving sustainable agricultural development.
