Ministry of Agriculture: Jenin Agriculture Directorate, and the Palestinian Center for Economic and Social Development distributed 2,275 almond seedlings to 10 farmers in Silat al-Dahr, Jaba’, Mithlon, al-Fandaqumiya and al-Jadida.

Under the supervision and participation of Jenin Agriculture Directorate, through its Agriculture and Veterinary Department in Mithalon, the Palestinian Center for Economic and Social Development distributed 2,275 almond saplings to 10 farmers from the towns of Silat ad-Dhahr, Jaba', Mithlon, al-Fandaqumiya, and al-Jadida. This distribution was part of the project "Improving Livelihoods and Enhancing the Resilience of Small Farmers and Sustainable Agriculture in Light of Current Changing Circumstances."

This intervention comes within the framework of joint efforts to support small farmers, enhance their resilience, and enable them to continue cultivating their land, thereby contributing to improving their livelihoods and boosting agricultural production, especially in areas facing increasing challenges and pressures on farmers and their land.

Jenin Directorate of Agriculture emphasizes the importance of utilizing and preserving agricultural land through sustainable cultivation and investment. This is considered a fundamental aspect of protecting the land and strengthening farmers' connection to it, especially in areas where land is at risk of confiscation or seizure under various pretexts, including claims that it is communal or uncultivated land.

The Ministry of Agriculture indicates that cultivating and reclaiming land, and introducing fruit trees, contributes to maintaining its continued agricultural use and transforming it into productive land. This strengthens farmers' resilience and preserves the land as part of agricultural and national resources, in addition to providing new sources of income and production opportunities for farming families.

The distribution of almond seedlings reflects the importance of the partnership between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Palestinian Center for Economic and Social Development in implementing agricultural interventions that respond to farmers' needs, support sustainable agriculture, and enhance farmers' ability to continue working, producing, protecting, and investing in their land.
