Ministry of Agriculture: The export season of lemon to foreign markets has begun under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and through the Jordanian-Palestinian Agricultural Marketing Company

Lemon Farmers in Qalqilya Governorate have begun harvesting their lemon trees in preparation for export to the United Arab Emirates through the Jordanian-Palestinian Company for Marketing Agricultural Products, under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture.

This step comes within the framework of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to enhance the presence of Palestinian agricultural products in foreign markets and open new marketing channels for farmers, thereby contributing to improving their income and strengthening the sustainability of the agricultural sector.

Qalqilya Agriculture Directorate teams monitor the harvesting and packing processes on the ground to ensure compliance with the approved technical specifications and quality standards for export. This includes sorting, grading, and packaging according to the health and technical requirements of the target markets.

Lemon is a major citrus crop in Qalqilya Governorate, distinguished by their high quality and good yield, making them competitive in regional markets. This export operation is expected to contribute to revitalizing the agricultural economy in the governorate, providing seasonal job opportunities, and enhancing the confidence of foreign markets in Palestinian products. The Ministry of Agriculture reiterates its commitment to continuing to work with partners in the public and private sectors to expand the export base and remove obstacles for farmers, thereby strengthening their resilience and enabling them to continue investing in their lands and achieving added value for the national economy.
