The Technical Committee in Qalqilya Agriculture Directorate received final receipt of 15 projects in the towns of: Jit, Flamiya, Kafr Doum, Jayyus, the city of Qalqilya, Azzun, Arab Al-Khouli, and Izbet Al-Ashqar, to support farmers and livestock breeders in Qalqilya Governorate, in partnership with the European Union auditing company.
This batch included projects for raising goats, cows, and broiler poultry, as well as home development projects and raising rabbits and pigeons, with a total value of approximately 615,135 shekels, within the agricultural assistance program funded by the European Union for farmers affected by Israeli attacks, which was originally documented by the Ministry of Agriculture previously.
These projects come within the framework of the Ministry of Agriculture’s efforts aimed at strengthening the steadfastness of farmers on their lands and supporting the sustainability of agricultural production, especially in light of the challenges facing the agricultural sector as a result of the occupation’s practices. The Ministry confirms that these projects fall within the support programs funded by the European Union that seek to develop the agricultural sector and improve the standard of living of farmers, which will reflect positively on the development of the agricultural sector, enhance food security, and enhance the resilience of farmers in the governorate.
