The Ministry of Agriculture, along with the Nablus Agriculture Directorate and the Veterinary Department, continue to tag and vaccinate sheep for eligible beneficiaries as part of an agricultural support project funded by the European Union

The local technical committee at Nablus Agriculture Directorate, in cooperation with Nablus Veterinary Directorate, completed the tagging and vaccination of sheep belonging to beneficiaries of the EU-funded agricultural assistance project in the towns of Burin, Einabus, Beita, and Duma, south of Nablus Governorate. This is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen farmers' resilience and protect livestock.

These activities are implemented within the framework of the Ministry of Agriculture's plan to support livestock breeders and improve their production conditions by implementing tagging and vaccination programs. These programs contribute to herd management, reduce the spread of infectious diseases, and enhance the efficiency of veterinary monitoring in accordance with best practices. The technical teams confirmed that the tagging and vaccination process was carried out according to sound technical and veterinary practices, and in accordance with biosecurity standards. Data on the targeted herds was recorded in official registers, enhancing the Ministry's ability to monitor, track, and intervene rapidly when needed.

This project targets farmers affected by Israeli occupation attacks in previous years, as documented in the Ministry of Agriculture's records. Beneficiaries were selected according to European Union criteria, after fulfilling all requirements and submitting all necessary documentation and complete files.

This intervention is part of the agricultural assistance program implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture in partnership with the European Union. This program includes a range of projects in the fields of livestock and agricultural production, aimed at empowering farmers, strengthening the sustainability of the agricultural sector, and contributing to food security in light of current challenges.
