Ministry of Agriculture: The national campaign for identification and vaccination exceeds 142,000 operations on the second day of the eighth week

•  1,000 new operations were carried out, including 500 vaccinations and 500 tagging operations, as part of the national campaign.
•  Eight livestock breeders benefited from today's work, as part of ongoing efforts to protect herds from foot-and-mouth disease (SAT-1).
•  The campaign targeted Yarza and Atouf areas in the northern Jordan Valley.

Northern Jordan Valley: August 10, 2026

The national campaign for livestock tagging and preventative vaccination against foot-and-mouth disease (SAT-1) continued its work on the second day of its eighth week. Tubas Agriculture and Veterinary Directorate carried out 1,000 new operations in Yarza and Atouf areas, bringing the cumulative total of vaccinations and tagging operations since the campaign's launch to 142,310. This is part of the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to strengthen the animal health system, reduce the spread of epidemic diseases, and protect livestock.

In the areas of Yarza and Atouf, veterinary teams carried out 500 vaccinations against foot-and-mouth disease (SAT-1) and 500 animal tagging operations as part of the National Livestock Tagging Program. Eight livestock breeders benefited from the campaign's services.

The total number of operations completed that day reached 1,000, including 500 vaccinations and 500 tagging operations, bringing the cumulative total for the campaign to 142,310 operations, comprising 71,155 vaccinations and 71,155 tagging operations.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirms the continuation of the national campaign according to the approved program and its commitment to reaching the targeted areas. This will enhance the prevention of epidemic diseases, protect livestock, support the resilience of livestock breeders, and contribute to strengthening the foundations of food security in Palestine.
