The national campaign for livestock tagging and preventative vaccination against foot-and-mouth disease (SAT-1) concluded its seventh week of operations, achieving a cumulative total of 138,610 vaccinations and tagging operations since its launch. This is part of the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to strengthen the animal health system, reduce the spread of epidemic diseases, and protect livestock in various targeted areas.

In Qatafa and Khallat al-Farra areas of Masafer Yatta, veterinary teams carried out 700 vaccinations against foot-and-mouth disease (SAT-1) and 700 animal tagging operations as part of the National Livestock Tagging Program. Twenty livestock breeders benefited from the campaign's services.

Tubas Directorate of Agriculture and Veterinary Services also conducted 700 vaccinations and 700 animal tagging operations in Yarza and Atouf areas, benefiting five livestock breeders.

The total number of operations completed during the last day of the seventh week reached 2,800, including 1,400 vaccinations and 1,400 animal tagging operations, bringing the cumulative total for the campaign to 138,610 since its launch. The Ministry of Agriculture affirms its commitment to continuing the national campaign according to the approved program, contributing to enhanced prevention of epidemic diseases, protecting livestock, supporting the resilience of livestock breeders, and strengthening the foundations of food security in Palestine.
