The South Hebron Agriculture Directorate, in cooperation with the Palestinian Center for Peace and Democracy Issues, held an agricultural event in the city of Dura, planting olive saplings to commemorate Land Day. The event saw wide official and community participation.

The Agriculture Directorate was represented by its Director General, Engineer Khalil Abu Aqifan, who welcomed the attendees. He emphasized that Land Day is a significant national event that embodies the Palestinian people's attachment to their land, noting that the olive tree is a powerful symbol of resilience and steadfastness. He also praised the Palestinian Center's role in organizing and funding the event, stressing the importance of strengthening partnerships between governmental institutions and civil society organizations to support the agricultural sector and empower farmers.

The event included planting mature olive trees and providing them with an irrigation network and water tank, which will contribute to strengthening their resilience and improving the sustainability of agricultural production in the region. A number of official institutions participated in the event, including Dura Municipality, South Hebron Interior Directorate, Civil Defense Directorate, Police Force, Endowments Directorate, and the Department of Tourism and Antiquities, in confirmation of the integration of national efforts to protect the land and enhance the resilience of farmers.
