Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Engineer Bader Al-Hawamdeh, along with the Coordinator of Governorate Affairs, Engineer Samir Samara, the Director General of Extension, the Director General of Planning, and several other directors general and directors of agriculture directorates, held a meeting, under the directives of the Minister of Agriculture, Professor Rizq Slaimiya, to follow up on the progress of work in the directorates, review the realities of field operations, and strengthen coordination and communication between the General Administration and the agriculture directorates in the governorates.
The meeting discussed the progress of work in the directorates, reviewed implemented projects and their implementation monitoring mechanisms, and explored communication and coordination mechanisms with the General Administration of Planning to enhance work efficiency and more effective monitoring of agricultural projects and programs.
The attendees also discussed the most prominent obstacles and challenges facing the work of the directorates and ways to address them, in addition to strengthening communication between the general administrations and the directorates to ensure rapid follow-up and response to field needs and improve the level of services provided to farmers. The meeting addressed the ongoing preparations for the olive harvest season, emphasizing the need to strengthen coordination among various stakeholders and unify field and administrative efforts to ensure adequate readiness for the season. It also discussed monitoring farmers' needs and addressing various issues related to the olive harvest.
Participants stressed the importance of continuing coordination meetings between the General Directorate and the Directorates of Agriculture. This will enhance integrated work, improve performance, and ensure that the Ministry of Agriculture's plans and programs are translated into practical interventions that meet the needs of the agricultural sector and farmers in all governorates.
