Minister of Agriculture, Professor Riziq Slaimiya, welcomed a delegation from Beit al-Roush al-Fouqa Village Council and discussed arrangements for implementing the agricultural water reservoir project in the village. The meeting was held at the Ministry's headquarters in Ramallah.
Minister Slaimiya emphasized that the project is part of the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to strengthen agricultural infrastructure and support farmers' resilience by providing sustainable rainwater harvesting sources. This will contribute to improved water resource management and enhanced agricultural production in the region.
Slaimiya noted that the tender has been officially published in newspapers by the FAO in cooperation with the Ministry, paving the way for the commencement of implementation according to technical and administrative procedures.
For their part, Beit al-Roush al-Fouqa Village Council delegation expressed their appreciation for the Ministry of Agriculture's interest and commitment to implementing the project. They stressed the importance of the agricultural water reservoirs in serving farmers and meeting their irrigation needs, which will positively impact the sustainability of agricultural activity and strengthen the resilience of citizens on their land.
