🔴 The Minister of Agriculture inaugurates and inspects development and production projects, and signs two agreements to establish two agricultural parks in Jenin Governorate (which included the towns of Burqin, Ya’bad, Arraba, and Kafr Ra’i).

⭕ Two agreements were signed to establish two agricultural parks on 30 dunams of land in partnership with Jenin Municipality to promote environmental development and protect the land.

⭕ 1,000 cubic meter reservoir was inaugurated to collect and store groundwater in Kafr Ra'i, supporting water security and the sustainability of agricultural production.

⭕ The Minister inspected the agricultural road construction project in Ya'bad, reviewed production projects in Burqin and Kafr Ra'i, and listened to the grievances of citizens regarding settlers attacks in Arraba.

⭕ Visits were made to the "Spring Cucumber" pickle factory, the "Tank" oil bottling plant, the Canaan factory, and the Al-Hafeed dairy factory.

Minister of Agriculture, Professor Rizq Slaimiya, conducted a field tour in Jenin Governorate, which included several development and production projects, as part of the Ministry's programs aimed at supporting farmers' resilience, promoting agricultural investment, and developing agricultural infrastructure. The Minister began his tour with a meeting with Jenin Governor Kamal Abu al-Rub, in the presence of Jenin Mayor Muhammad Jarar and several other mayors. Two agreements were signed to establish agricultural parks in Jannat and Al-Sa'ada areas, covering a total area of ​​approximately 30 dunams. Slamiya emphasized that the Ministry of Agriculture represents the first line of defense for the land and is committed to supporting farmers' resilience, encouraging agricultural investment, strengthening production chains, and opening wider avenues for marketing Palestinian agricultural products, in cooperation with local authorities and the private sector.

In the town of Burqin, with the presence of Mayor Abd al-Fattah Masad. The minister visited the "Spring Cucumber" pickle factory and learned about its role in processing local agricultural production and providing employment opportunities. He also inspected an apricot and fig orchard on 8 dunams, part of a Dutch-funded project implemented by the Palestinian Center under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture. Finally, he visited the Canaa'n Fairtrade Company and learned about its efforts in processing and marketing Palestinian agricultural products and enhancing their added value in the market. In the town of Ya'bad, the minister met with Mayor Dr. Samer Abu Bakr and inspected a project to reclaim and construct nearly 4 kilometers of agricultural roads. The project was implemented in partnership with the Land Research Center and under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture. He also visited Al-Hafeed Dairy Factory, emphasizing the importance of supporting agricultural and food industries to create job opportunities, increase the added value of agricultural products, and improve farmers' incomes.

The Minister also visited the town of Arraba, where he met the Mayor Ahmed Al-Arda. He was briefed on the suffering of citizens and farmers due to settler attacks and land confiscations. He affirmed that the Ministry would continue implementing agricultural interventions that bolster the resilience of citizens in the targeted areas. He concluded his tour in the town of Kafr Ra'i, where he met with Mayor Dr. Luay Sadiq Al-Sheikh Ibrahim and members of the municipal council. He inaugurated a 1,000-cubic-meter reservoir for collecting and storing groundwater, constructed by a team of hydrologists under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture. He emphasized the importance of water harvesting projects in enhancing water security and ensuring the sustainability of agricultural production. He also visited a factory producing olive oil tins, a project representing an opportunity to develop this sector economically, contributing to the storage and export of Palestinian olive oil.
