Minister of Agriculture, Professor Riziq Slaimiya, met at his office in the Ministry of Agriculture headquarters in Ramallah with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of India, Mr. Abdullah Shawish, to discuss ways to enhance agricultural cooperation with India and develop partnerships that support the Palestinian agricultural sector.
During the meeting, they reviewed opportunities for cooperation in sustainable agriculture, mechanisms to support agricultural and productive projects, particularly those related to the date palm sector and traditional products, as well as the development of rural industries.
They also discussed the possibility of implementing joint programs and activities that serve farmers and strengthen their resilience, in addition to cooperation in the areas of seeds, exchange of expertise, agricultural training and development, and benefiting from Indian experiences in developing the agricultural sector.
At the end of the meeting, Slaimiya emphasized the importance of expanding agricultural cooperation with India to support sustainable agricultural development and empower farmers. He commended the role of the Palestinian Embassy in strengthening bilateral relations and opening new avenues of cooperation that serve the Palestinian agricultural sector.
