Ministry of Agriculture: Tulkarem Agriculture Directorate conducts a field day on beekeeping for 15 women with the aim of enhancing the empowerment of rural women

Tulkarme Directorate of Agriculture, represented by the Rural Development Department and in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Department, conducted a field day at a local apiary, targeting a group of women. This initiative is part of their efforts to enhance practical skills and empower women in the agricultural sector.

The activity was supervised by Engineer Mahyoub Draidy and Engineer Nabil Hamdan, with the participation of 15 women. It included practical training on the fundamentals of beekeeping, hive management techniques, and best practices for maintaining bee health and increasing production.

The trainers emphasized the importance of practical training in developing the participants' skills and enabling them to gain the necessary experience to manage small beekeeping projects. This, in turn, contributes to improving income and enhancing food security for rural families.

This activity is part of a series of events implemented by the Tulkarem Directorate of Agriculture, in coordination with the Head of the Rural Development Department, Engineer Hanaa Khraisha, as part of efforts to support rural women and strengthen their role in developing the agricultural sector.
