The Ministry of Agriculture, through Tubas and Northern Jordan Valley Agriculture Directorate, held a meeting today, Sunday, at the Tubas and Northern Jordan Valley Governorate headquarters to follow up on the procedures for completing the benefits for 43 farmers from the EU-funded agricultural assistance program. The meeting was attended by the Governor of Tubas and Northern Jordan Valley, Ahmed Al-Asaad, a number of officials from the Governorate and the Ministry, as well as several beneficiaries.
The meeting discussed the procedures and requirements necessary to finalize the farmers' access to the project and to follow up on their files. The total value of the assistance provided under the project to the beneficiary farmers in the Governorate amounts to approximately €250,000, which contributes to supporting farmers and enhancing their ability to continue agricultural production.
Participants in the meeting included the Governorate's Projects Director, Khader Daraghmeh; the Director General of Tubas and Northern Jordan Valley Agriculture Directorate, Omar Bisharat; the Director of Services, Muhammad Salah; the Head of the Services Department, Amin Daraghmeh; Rami Al-Aida; and several project beneficiaries. The participants emphasized the importance of the EU-funded agricultural assistance program in supporting the agricultural sector, strengthening farmers' resilience, improving their economic conditions, and contributing to the sustainability of agricultural production in Tubas and Northern Jordan Valley governorate.
The Ministry of Agriculture affirms its continued commitment to monitoring the implementation of agricultural projects and interventions funded by international partners and ensuring the completion of procedures for beneficiaries, thereby achieving the objectives of these interventions in supporting farmers, enhancing their resilience, and developing the agricultural sector in the governorate.
