North Hebron Agriculture Directorate, in cooperation with Surif Cooperative Society for Livestock and with support from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), conducted specialized training for 15 female farmers in the town of Surif. This training was part of the project "Strengthening Livestock Breeders' Practices at All Stages of the Animal Value Chain."

The project aims to enhance the capabilities of livestock breeders and develop the skills of dairy producers, thereby contributing to improved productivity and higher quality of animal products in the targeted sectors.

The two-day training covered specialized topics in sheep farm management, best practices in sheep care and breeding, and the production of dairy products using healthy and safe methods in accordance with approved technical and health standards.

The training was conducted by Eng. Jihad Al-Alami, Head of the Ruminants Department at the North Hebron Agriculture Directorate, and Eng. Shawq Bahr, Head of the Rural Development Department. The focus was on practical and applied aspects that contribute to developing the participants' skills and strengthening their role in the livestock sector.
