Teams from the Ministry of Agriculture's North Hebron Agriculture Directorate conducted field visits in the town of Ash-Shuyukh to monitor farmers benefiting from the "Green Jobs and Sustainable Income Opportunities for Young Palestinian Men and Women in the Agricultural and Food Sector" project.

The visits included the head of Ash-Shuyukh Extension Office, Engineer Mu'azouz Shalaldeh, and the representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Engineer Mu'min Shehadeh. The visits aimed to verify the cultivation of the targeted crops and monitor the beneficiaries' adherence to the plan approved by the Ministry of Agriculture.

The targeted crops included lentils, chickpeas, vetch, and alfalfa, in accordance with the approved technical plans. The project is funded by the Danish government, in partnership with the FAO, and under the supervision and monitoring of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Sixty-four farmers in the town of Ash-Shuyukh applied to benefit from the project, and field verification of crop cultivation and adherence to the approved eligibility criteria is currently underway. The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that this project comes within its ongoing efforts to enhance the resilience of farmers, create sustainable job opportunities for young people, and contribute to achieving food security and supporting agricultural development paths in Palestine.
