North Hebron Agriculture Directorate, in cooperation with the Land Research Center, conducted a training session on home garden management in the town of Halhul. Twenty women participating in the home gardening program attended the session, which was part of the "Contributing to Food Security for Families in Rural Areas of the Southern West Bank" project. This project is implemented by the Land Research Center with funding from the CRIC Foundation, in partnership with the Ministries of Agriculture and Social Development.

The training covered home garden management and care techniques, aiming to enhance food security for rural families and support the local economy. The participants were also provided with seeds and seedlings through the same project.

Participants in the training included Engineer Jamal Slaimiya, Director of the Extension Services Department at the Ministry of Agriculture; Engineer Iyas Abu Rabda, the project coordinator from the Land Research Center; and extension and rural development engineers from the North Hebron Agriculture Directorate.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that this activity is part of its plans to empower rural women and strengthen their role in home-based production, thereby contributing to improving the standard of living for families and increasing their resilience in rural areas.
