Ministry of Agriculture: North Hebron Agriculture Directorate, in partnership with the Land Research Center and the Creek Foundation for Social Development, held a training workshop in Halhul on raising laying hens

North of Hebron Agriculture Directorate conducted a training workshop in the town of Halhul, targeting beneficiaries of the "Contributing to Food Security for Families in Rural Areas of the Southern West Bank" project. This project is implemented by the Land Research Center with funding from the CRIK Foundation, in partnership with the Ministries of Agriculture and Social Development.

The workshop targeted a number of women who own laying hens. Each beneficiary received laying hens, specialized cages, and one ton of feed per unit, with the aim of enhancing home-based production and improving income sources for beneficiary families in Halhul.

The training was presented by the Head of the Poultry Department, Engineer Osama Qtait, in the presence of the Director of the Extension Services Department, Engineer Jamal Slaimiya, and the project coordinator from the Land Research Center, Engineer Iyas Abu Rabda. The workshop was opened by the Director General of the North Hebron Agriculture Directorate, Engineer Osama Jarar, and the Director General of Social Development in Hebron Governorate, Mr. Nidal Al-Tmaizi. The implementation of this workshop comes within the joint efforts of the Ministries of Agriculture and Social Development, in cooperation with partners, to empower economically needy families and enhance their resilience, through supporting sustainable productive projects that contribute to achieving food security and improving the standard of living in rural areas.
