Ministry of Agriculture: North Hebron Agriculture Directorate , in partnership with (UNDP), continues to implement field school activities in Sa’ir and Beit Ula with the participation of 30 beneficiaries to promote olive cultivation practices

The North Hebron Agriculture Directorate continued its field school activities in the towns of Sa'ir and Beit Ula, as part of a series of extension meetings held since the beginning of the year. These meetings aim to empower rural women and enhance their knowledge in olive cultivation, as well as to empower olive farmers and improve their productivity.

The activities included specialized field training sessions presented by Engineer Mai Arar, Head of the Olive Department, and Engineer Shawq Bahr, Head of the Rural Development Department. These sessions covered the technical guidelines to be followed during April for olive tree care, including monitoring pests to determine the level of infestation, cleaning the land, and performing light tillage when necessary.

The activities also included practical training on preparing Bordeaux mixture and painting the trees, in addition to monitoring the flowering and fruit-setting stages of olive trees in both areas. This contributes to enhancing the participants' practical knowledge and improving the management of agricultural fields. The meeting targeted approximately 15 women participating in the field school in the town of Sa'ir, in addition to 15 farmers in the Beit Ula area. This initiative is part of a comprehensive program aimed at improving farmers' agricultural practices and will continue until the end of the agricultural season.

This activity is part of a project implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), within the framework of supporting farmers' resilience and promoting sustainable rural development in the Hebron Governorate.
