Ministry of Agriculture: Ramallah and Al-Bireh Agriculture Directorate conducts an educational lecture on sheep farm management in Deir Jarir with the participation of 15 female farmers

The Extension Directorate at Ramallah and Al-Bireh Agriculture Directorate, in cooperation with Deir Jarir Charitable Society, conducted a specialized training lecture on sheep farm management. This initiative is part of the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to support rural women and enhance their participation in the livestock sector.

The lecture was organized by Eng. Alaa Al-Sayed, Head of the Rural Development Department at Ramallah and Al-Bireh Agriculture Directorate, in collaboration with the Society's management. It is part of a series of weekly training sessions aimed at developing women's skills in sheep breeding and management.

The lecture was presented by Eng. Ahmed Al-Boum, who discussed the fundamentals of establishing livestock farms, best practices in sheep farm management, and guidelines related to nutrition, healthcare, production improvement, and newborn lambing. The activity witnessed the participation of 15 female sheep farmers in the town of Deir Jarir, where Ramallah and Al-Bireh Agriculture Directorate stressed the importance of these guidance programs in empowering rural women economically, and encouraging them to invest in animal production projects, which contributes to enhancing food security and improving the income of rural families.
