Nablus Directorate of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Palestinian Standards Institution and the Green Olive Mountain Company, held a workshop entitled "Quality Management" targeting 20 olive press owners in the governorate. The workshop aimed to promote the application of quality standards and improve the production of olive oil according to approved specifications.
The workshop, held at Nablus Directorate of Agriculture headquarters, was opened by the Director General, Dr. Ziad Fadda, who emphasized the importance of partnership and coordination with relevant institutions in developing the olive sector. He noted that this collaboration contributes to improving the quality of olive oil and increasing the efficiency of the presses. He also pointed out that the Ministry of Agriculture continues to monitor and rectify the conditions of olive presses to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and instructions, thereby enhancing the quality of the national product.
For his part, Dr. Muhammad Al-Dalaq, representing the Palestinian Standards Institution, reviewed the quality management standards that must be applied in olive presses, as well as the scientific and practical procedures that ensure adherence to Palestinian standards and the production of high-quality olive oil. At the conclusion of the workshop, inquiries from olive press owners and farmers were addressed. Participants also commended the efforts of Jabal Al-Zaytoun Al-Akhdar Company in organizing and arranging these meetings, emphasizing the importance of continuing guidance and training programs that contribute to the development of the olive sector and improve the quality of its production.
