Ministry of Agriculture: Bethlehem Agriculture implements 4 specialized training courses in sheep farm management and dairy production in Al-Minya and Beit Fajjar, benefiting 54 farmers, with support from the EU and in cooperation with FAO.

Bethlehem Directorate of Agriculture conducted a series of specialized training sessions on sheep farm management and high-quality milk and dairy production in the towns of Al-Minya and Beit Fajjar. This initiative is part of the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to develop the livestock sector, funded by the European Union and implemented in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The activities included four training lectures presented by Engineer Kifah Al-Sahouri and Engineer Muhammad Al-Basha, targeting 54 farmers. The aim was to enhance their knowledge and technical skills in modern sheep farm management and improve the quality of milk and dairy products, adhering to best health and production practices.

In Al-Minya, the training was held at the headquarters of Al-Minya Pioneering Association for Women and Child Development, targeting 17 female farmers. The training focused on supporting and empowering rural women in dairy processing and the production of safe homemade food. In Beit Fajjar, the training took place at the headquarters of Beit Fajjar Agricultural Association, with the participation of 37 farmers, livestock breeders, and agricultural engineers. The lectures covered the foundations of modern sheep farm management, mechanisms for improving production quality, and sound health practices for producing milk and dairy products in accordance with approved specifications, within the framework of the Ministry of Agriculture’s keenness to raise the efficiency of breeders, improve the quality of the national product, and promote sustainable agricultural development in cooperation with its partners.
