The Ministry of Agriculture, through Hebron Agriculture Directorate/Idhna Agriculture and Veterinary Department, distributed 240 bales of alfalfa straw (large size, weighing 400 kg per bale) to 200 sheep farmers in the town of Idhna. This distribution was carried out in partnership with the Palestinian Center for Economic and Social Development (ESDC) and with funding from Oxfam, as part of the Emergency Support Project in the West Bank.
This intervention comes within the framework of efforts aimed at supporting livestock farmers and alleviating the burdens they face by providing them with the necessary feed, thus contributing to the preservation of their flocks and enhancing the sustainability of the sheep farming sector.
Hebron Agriculture Directorate affirmed that this activity falls within the programs of the Ministry and its partners to support the resilience of farmers and livestock breeders, enhance food security, and preserve the livelihoods of beneficiary families, especially in light of the conditions and challenges facing the agricultural sector.
