The Central Hebron Agriculture Directorate conducted a training workshop titled "Maintaining Agricultural Records to Increase Profitability" for a group of women from Beit Kahil agricultural community. Twelve female farmers participated in the session, which was held at Beit Kahil Municipality headquarters as part of the activities of the "Improving Extension for Value-Added Agriculture" (EVAP) project—Phase III.
The workshop addressed the importance of maintaining and documenting agricultural records and their role in helping female farmers monitor and manage their agricultural activities more effectively.
Participants learned to record production costs, agricultural inputs, production volumes, and sales figures data that facilitates the calculation of returns and profitability, as well as informed decision-making throughout the agricultural season.
Emphasis was also placed on utilizing agricultural records to compare the profitability of different crops, identify the most viable practices and techniques, and plan for the upcoming season. Additionally, the workshop covered scheduling agricultural operations and determining the farm's requirements for supplies and inputs.
This workshop is part of the Ministry of Agriculture’s efforts to enhance the capabilities of farmers and develop extension services. These initiatives aim to boost production efficiency, increase profitability, and support the sustainability of agricultural projects.
