Jerusalem Agriculture Directorate distributed 105 mature olive saplings to four farmers in the areas of Rafat, Qalandiya al-Balad, Bedu, and Beit Iksa, as part of the Ministry's emergency response program, funded by the government. This initiative supports farmers whose lands were affected by Israeli attacks.
The intervention targeted landowners whose olive trees were bulldozed and uprooted. The distribution of the saplings is part of the Ministry's efforts to rehabilitate damaged agricultural lands, compensate farmers for some of the losses they incurred, and help them replant their lands and return them to production.
The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that the emergency response program aims to provide rapid interventions for affected farmers and address the urgent needs facing the agricultural sector.
This contributes to mitigating the effects of attacks on agricultural lands and properties and enhances farmers' ability to continue working their land. The ministry indicates that field interventions are continuing to be implemented according to priorities and needs, including the rehabilitation of damaged lands and the provision of agricultural supplies, stressing that supporting farmers, protecting agricultural land and enhancing their resilience is a priority in the ministry’s work, especially in areas that are subjected to attacks by the settlers and occupation forces.
