The Ministry of Agriculture in Jerusalem plans to implement four model grape cultivation demonstrations in northwest Jerusalem, in partnership with Agricultural Relief and funded by the Government of the Netherlands with 120,000 shekels

Jerusalem Agriculture Directorate held a meeting to discuss the progress of the "Improving Livelihoods, Food Security, and Sustainable Economic Growth in the West Bank and Gaza Strip" project. The meeting was attended by the Director General of Agriculture in Jerusalem, Engineer Faiha' Najem; the Director of Extension, Engineer Abdullah Al-Dahleh; the Project's Field Supervisor/Agricultural Relief, Engineer Imam Masoud; and the Head of the Tree Horticulture Department, Engineer Taha Al-Jamal.

The meeting discussed the results of the field surveys conducted for farmers who had applied to benefit from the project. Applications were evaluated, and beneficiaries were selected based on the technical criteria outlined in the operational procedures for selecting agricultural demonstration plots.

The project aims to enhance livelihoods and improve food security through the implementation of targeted agricultural interventions that contribute to developing agricultural production and increasing the income of beneficiary farmers. It is worth mentioning that the project is being implemented in cooperation between the Jerusalem Agriculture Directorate and Agricultural Relief, and with funding from the Dutch government, where four model economic agricultural demonstrations for the grape crop will be implemented in villages northwest of Jerusalem, with a total value of 120,000 shekels, which will contribute to the development of grape cultivation and enhance its productive efficiency in the targeted areas.
