Jerusalem Agriculture Directorate held a coordination meeting at its headquarters, bringing together directorate staff, representatives from agricultural relief organizations, and representatives from several communities in East Jerusalem, including: Ankhila, Al-Kasarat, Jaba', Bir Al-Maskub, Wadi Sneysel, and Al-Hathroura.
The meeting discussed mechanisms for forming local committees within the targeted communities to oversee the implementation of activities and ensure the efficient and transparent delivery of services to beneficiaries. The meeting also addressed the mechanism for distributing animal feed to livestock breeders based on the needs of each community.
During the meeting, the most pressing needs of the agricultural communities were identified, which will help guide future interventions toward providing the means for resilience and strengthening the continuity of agricultural activity in the targeted areas.
This meeting is part of the joint efforts between the Ministry of Agriculture and its partners to support farmers in marginalized areas and enhance their resilience in the face of various challenges.
