Jerusalem Agriculture Directorate, in cooperation with Jerusalem Governorate, conducted a field day targeting ten farmers from the town of Beit Surik. This activity was part of the Field Schools Project, funded by the Moroccan Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency.

The field day included several extension and practical activities aimed at enhancing farmers' knowledge and improving their agricultural practices. These activities included supplemental irrigation for olive trees, training on preparing and using Bordeaux mixture, and an introduction to food traps and their importance in controlling agricultural pests.

The activity also involved the placement of yellow traps to monitor insects and pests affecting olive trees, with the goal of promoting integrated pest management methods and reducing crop damage.

This activity is part of the Field Schools Project, implemented in seven villages in the Jerusalem Governorate. The project aims to enhance farmers' capabilities and develop their skills through practical training, thereby contributing to improved agricultural production and strengthening farmers' resilience on their land.
