Ramallah and Al-Bireh Agriculture Directorate supervised the planting of 4,600 fruit trees for 40 farmers through a reforestation project funded by Danish Islamic Aid and implemented with partner organizations

Ramallah and Al-Bireh Directorate of Agriculture, with the supervision and participation of its technical staff, implemented the "Enhancing Land Productivity and Climate Adaptation through Reforestation" project in several villages in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate. The project was funded by Islamic Relief Denmark, managed by the Welfare Association, and implemented by the Land Research Center.

The project targeted 40 farmers in the villages of Silwad, Beit Liqya, Beitillu, and Deir Ammar, distributing 4,600 seedlings of grape, fig, almond, and citrus varieties. The aim was to enhance agricultural production, improve land utilization, and increase farmers' resilience to the effects of climate change.

The activity was carried out in cooperation with the Beitillu Agricultural Association. Ramallah and Al-Bireh Directorate of Agriculture oversaw the distribution process and monitored the implementation of the intervention according to approved technical standards.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that this project is part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen farmers' resilience, empower them to preserve their land, and improve the sustainability of agricultural production, thereby contributing to enhanced food security and sustainable agricultural development.
