The Ministry of Agriculture participates in the ministerial tour in Salfit Governorate and affirms its continued support for the resilience of farmers.

The Ministry of Agriculture, represented by the Minister's Advisor for Governorate Affairs, Engineer Samir Samara, the Director General of Salfit Agriculture Directorate, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Hamad, and the Director of Veterinary Services in Salfit, Dr. Fathallah Khraim, participated in a ministerial tour conducted in Salfit Governorate. The tour was held under the directives of Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa and included the participation of several ministers and representatives from various ministries and government institutions.

The tour included a meeting with the Governor of Salfit, Mustafa Taqatqa, heads of local councils, and other prominent figures in the governorate. The delegation also visited the towns of Kafr ad-Dik, Bidya, Qarawat Bani Hassan, Ammuriya, and Khirbet Qais to assess the conditions and needs of the residents, particularly in light of the attacks by the occupation and settlers.

The delegation's representatives were accompanied by a number of ministers and representatives from various ministries and government institutions. During the tour, the Ministry of Agriculture reviewed the needs of the agricultural sector, emphasizing its continued interventions to bolster farmers' resilience. In partnership with the Palestinian Hydrologists Association, the Ministry completed the construction and rehabilitation of 10 kilometers of agricultural roads in Bidya and Qarawat Bani Hassan. Additionally, a 200-cubic-meter water reservoir and 2,000 meters of pipeline are under construction as part of the LIFT Palestine project.

Programs supporting farmers affected by the occupation are also ongoing, including the MAP II project, the "My Initiative" project, the "Green Gold for Olives" project, and the "Orchards" project. These initiatives target dozens of farmers and agricultural associations in the governorate by providing production inputs, supplemental irrigation, and support for wells, gardens, greenhouses, and olive-related agricultural practices.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that these interventions are in line with the directives of the Minister of Agriculture, Rizq Slaimiya, to strengthen farmers' resilience, protect them, and support their continued access to and cultivation of their land, particularly in areas most vulnerable to occupation measures and settler attacks.
