The Ministry of Agriculture, through its veterinary directorates and departments, continues to implement the national vaccination campaign for livestock against several diseases, primarily brucellosis, foot-and-mouth disease, and PPR. This is being done under the directives of the Minister of Agriculture, Professor Riziq Slaimiya, and based on the plan approved by the General Directorate of Veterinary Services, with the aim of enhancing livestock health, reducing the spread of diseases, and protecting livestock production.

A total of 4,692 head of livestock were vaccinated against brucellosis (Malta fever). This included 1,500 head vaccinated in Jenin Governorate on Thursday and Sunday, 1,000 head vaccinated as part of the ongoing vaccination campaign by the Jenin Veterinary Department, 2,100 head vaccinated in the northern Hebron area, and 92 head vaccinated in Jerusalem Governorate.

In northern Hebron, the North Hebron Veterinary Department, in coordination with the Agriculture and Veterinary Departments in Bani Na'im and Sa'ir, launched a vaccination campaign against brucellosis. The first phase covered the areas of Surif, Halhul, Masafer Ash-Shuyukh, and Masafer Bani Na'im, where 1,800 head of livestock were vaccinated. The campaign continued in the Jamroura area of ​​Tarqumiya, where 300 sheep were vaccinated.

In Jenin Governorate, veterinary teams continued their vaccination campaign in the areas of Arraba and Ta'anak, where 1,000 head of livestock were vaccinated against brucellosis, 1,000 sheep against foot-and-mouth disease, and 150 cattle against foot-and-mouth disease. Additionally, 1,000 head of livestock were vaccinated against peste des petits ruminants (PPR), as part of the approved veterinary vaccination plan.

In Jerusalem Governorate, the Veterinary Services Department carried out vaccinations in the town of Jaba', vaccinating 92 head of livestock against brucellosis and 450 head against foot-and-mouth disease. This is part of ongoing efforts to reach livestock breeders and improve the health of their herds.

The Ministry of Agriculture also provided the SAT-1 foot-and-mouth disease vaccine for sheep and cattle. Veterinary services departments continue to implement vaccination campaigns according to approved plans, ensuring access to targeted herds and strengthening disease prevention and control measures that affect animal health and production.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirms the continuation of the campaign in the remaining targeted regions and governorates, calling on livestock breeders to cooperate with the veterinary teams and enable them to reach the targeted herds, and to adhere to the instructions and procedures for vaccination, in order to contribute to the success of the campaign, protect livestock, and enhance national food security.
