Minister of Agriculture, Professor Riziq Slaimiya, participated in the distribution of 565 three-year-old olive saplings to 14 farmers from the towns of Surif, Beit Ummar, and Bani Na'im in the northern Hebron Governorate. This took place during his visit to Al-Arroub Forestry Nursery, which belongs to the Ministry of Agriculture.

The distribution of the saplings was attended by staff from the North Hebron Agriculture Directorate, the Director General of Extension and Rural Development, and ministry personnel working at the nursery. The minister reviewed the nursery's operations and the mechanisms for producing and preparing forestry and agricultural saplings.

Slaimiya emphasized that the distribution of the saplings is part of the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to support farmers and strengthen their resilience on their land, especially given the attacks by settlers on agricultural lands in some areas, which have included land leveling and the cutting and uprooting of olive trees. He noted that the Ministry, through its own nurseries and those of the private sector, continues to produce and provide agricultural seedlings to farmers, contributing to the rehabilitation of damaged lands and promoting the expansion of olive tree cultivation, a cornerstone of the Palestinian agricultural sector.

During his tour of Al-Arroub Forestry Nursery, the Minister also received a briefing from the technical staff on the nursery's production capacity and the efforts being made to produce seedlings and develop operations at the Ministry's nurseries to serve farmers in various governorates.
