The Ministry of Agriculture, represented by the Directorate of Agriculture and Veterinary Yatta, in partnership with the ARIJ Foundation, with funding from OCHA - the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, and the implementation of Oxfam, implemented a series of guidance lectures for livestock breeders in a number of areas of Yatta, including the Zuwaydin and Gwen regions.

The implementation of these lectures was part of the project “Supporting livestock breeders in preserving their livelihoods and adapting to prolonged crises in the Hebron Governorate in the West Bank,” with the aim of raising the level of awareness among farmers, improving herd management, and enhancing their ability to adapt to challenges and crises, thus contributing to supporting their resilience and the sustainability of their livelihoods.

The project benefits 302 male and female farmers distributed among six population centers in the region, through multiple interventions related to the provision of emergency fodder, as part of joint efforts to support livestock breeders.

These activities come within the framework of joint cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and international and local partners, and in line with the Ministry’s directions in supporting the agricultural sector and promoting sustainable agricultural development.
