The Ministry of Agriculture and the Land Research Center distribute 3,000 assorted fruit seedlings in Beit al-Rush al-Fouqa, south of Hebron

South of Hebron Agriculture Directorate, in cooperation with the Land Research Center, distributed 3,000 assorted fruit saplings to farmers in the town of Beit al-Roush al-Fouqa. This distribution was part of the Land, Water, and Agricultural Roads Investment Project, following the completion of land reclamation work on the targeted areas.

The distributed saplings included various varieties of olives, citrus fruits, grapes, almonds, and figs. The selection was based on farmers' needs, the nature of the land, and the environmental conditions suitable for each variety, aiming to enhance agricultural production and improve the utilization of reclaimed land.

In this context, Engineer Walid Tanina, Director of the Technical Department at the South Hebron Agriculture Directorate, emphasized that the project is part of the Ministry's efforts to strengthen farmers' resilience, increase cultivated areas, and support food security in rural regions.

For his part, Engineer Laith al-Fasfous, the project coordinator, explained that implementing the project in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture aims to reach the largest possible number of beneficiary farmers. He commended the farmers' adherence to the technical instructions and agricultural guidelines, which contributed to the project's success and the achievement of its objectives. This activity is part of a series of interventions implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and its partners to support the agricultural sector in southern Hebron, and to enable farmers to invest in their lands sustainably.
