The technical committee at the Ministry of Agriculture, in cooperation with Qalqilya Directorate of Agriculture, received pilot projects for developing the animal feed industry. These projects fall under the agricultural grants program of the "SANET" project, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and implemented by the Italian Institute "CIHEAM Bari," in partnership with the Palestinian Employment Fund.
The project targeted a farmer in the village of Hajja. The handover took place in the presence of the relevant technical committee and in coordination with the Palestinian Employment Fund, as part of efforts to develop the animal feed sector and enhance the sustainability of agricultural production.
The projects focused on introducing modern technologies that contribute to developing the animal feed industry and improving storage processes. The grant included providing the beneficiary with four grain storage tanks, each with a capacity of 10 tons, for a total capacity of 40 tons. This will help preserve grain quality, reduce losses, and improve the efficiency of feed management.
The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that these projects align with its commitment to supporting farmers and empowering them to utilize modern technologies, thereby enhancing food security and increasing the efficiency of agricultural and livestock production in the governorate.
