
Governorates: October 4–5, 2026
Over the past two days, veterinary service directorates and departments affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture conducted field vaccination campaigns targeting livestock across several regions. A total of 9,308 doses of veterinary vaccines were administered, benefiting 258 breeders across six veterinary districts and areas in five governorates.
The vaccinations covered Foot-and-Mouth Disease (SAT-1 strain), Brucellosis, sheep pox, and Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR). These efforts are part of the Ministry’s preventive program designed to protect livestock and curb the spread of epidemic diseases.
In Jenin Governorate, the Veterinary Services Department carried out vaccination campaigns involving 1,785 doses benefiting 26 breeders, as well as a separate campaign administering 838 doses to 31 breeders. Meanwhile, Ramallah veterinary team administered 300 doses of the Brucellosis vaccine in Birzeit area, benefiting 10 breeders. In Hebron Governorate, the South Hebron/Dura Veterinary Services and Animal Health Department administered 1,763 doses, benefiting 52 livestock owners in Al-Fawwar Camp, Hadab Al-Fawwar, and Shuwayka (in Al-Dhahiriya) areas. Additionally, Hebron Veterinary Department administered 860 doses to 72 owners across several locations, including Khallet Al-Dar, Wadi Al-Saman, Aqabat Injila, Al-Mintaqa Al-Mughlaqa, and Harat Al-Nattah in the town of Idhna.
Bethlehem Veterinary Department administered 1,139 doses to 20 beneficiaries in Wadi Rahhal, Beit Ta'mar, Tuqu', and Al-Ubeidiya, as well as 623 doses to 17 farmers in Al-Fureidis, Hindaza, and Wadi Rahhal. Meanwhile, Jericho Veterinary Department administered 2,000 doses, benefiting 30 livestock owners in Al-Jiftlik area.
The Ministry continues to conduct field vaccination campaigns in accordance with its preventive program, focusing on reaching livestock owner communities and enhancing health protection for livestock; these efforts contribute to safeguarding animal production and supporting the income stability of farmers and livestock owners.
