Ministry of Agriculture: North Hebron Agriculture Directorate delivers field school supplies to 27 farmers in Sa'ir and Beit Ula in partnership with the (UNDP).

The North Hebron Agriculture Directorate delivered supplies for field schools in the towns of Sa'ir and Beit Ula, as part of its efforts to empower rural women, enhance the capabilities of olive farmers, and increase olive grove productivity through the application of sound agricultural practices.

The intervention included the distribution of 150 plastic barrels and 1,000 sacks of composted organic fertilizer to 27 beneficiaries (14 female and 13 male farmers) for use in supplemental irrigation and fertilizing olive groves. This will contribute to improving soil fertility, promoting tree growth, and increasing yields.

The delivery was carried out by Engineer Mai Arar, Head of the Olive Department; Engineer Shawq Bahr, Head of the Rural Development Department; and Engineer Mustafa Al-Bu, Head of the Beit Ula Extension Unit. This followed the completion of a training program for farmers within the field schools, which focused on best agricultural practices for olive grove management, including supplemental irrigation, organic fertilization, and tree care according to recommended technical methods. This activity comes as part of a project implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), within the framework of supporting the resilience of farmers, empowering rural women, and promoting sustainable rural development, which contributes to developing the olive sector and raising its productive efficiency in Hebron Governorate.
