Ramallah and Al-Bireh Directorate of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and through the Improvement of Extension for Value-Added Agriculture (EVAP 3) project, organized a training workshop entitled "Identifying Marketing Opportunities." The workshop targeted 15 beneficiaries from the Deir Sudan Women Entrepreneurs Association and women working in the food processing sector in the town of Deir Sudan. This initiative is part of the Ministry's efforts to enhance the capabilities of rural women and develop their productive projects.
The workshop focused on the concept of value-added agriculture as a key pillar for developing the agricultural sector, enhancing the competitiveness of agricultural and food products, and increasing the economic value of local products, thereby contributing to improving the income of farmers and strengthening their resilience.
The training program also covered market analysis and classification methods, mechanisms for identifying marketing opportunities, and modern marketing strategies. This will enable participants to develop their products, improve their quality, enhance their competitiveness, and expand their market access. This activity is part of a series of guidance and training programs implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture through the Improvement of Extension for Value-Added Agriculture (EVAP 3) project, in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), with the aim of enhancing the efficiency of agricultural value chains, empowering rural women, and supporting sustainable agricultural development.
