Yatta Agriculture and Veterinary Directorate, in partnership with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), conducted a field marketing tour at Hebron wholesale market (Hisba) for 20 farmers (both men and women) as part of the Agricultural Development and Value Chain Improvement Project (EVAP3).
The tour aimed to enhance the participants' skills in marketing agricultural products and to establish direct communication channels with traders and central markets, thereby improving marketing opportunities for national products and strengthening their competitiveness.
The tour included observing the operational mechanisms at the Hebron wholesale market, learning about best practices in marketing agricultural products and developing value chains, and providing farmers with practical knowledge related to managing sales and marketing operations, which will contribute to increasing their income and developing their agricultural projects.
This tour is part of the Ministry of Agriculture's programs aimed at developing the agricultural sector, enhancing farmers' capabilities, and providing them with technical and marketing support in cooperation with international partners, thereby contributing to strengthening their resilience and the sustainability of their agricultural production.
