Nablus Directorate of Agriculture participated in the launch of the Economic Empowerment Project for Marginalized Women and Women with Disabilities in the northern West Bank. This project aims to enhance women's capabilities and empower them economically, enabling them to support themselves and their families amidst the current difficult economic conditions and challenges. The project is part of the Ministry of Agriculture's and its partners' efforts to support the resilience of Palestinian farmers and increase their income, contributing to sustainable development and the advancement of the agricultural sector. The project is implemented by the Agricultural Relief organization in partnership with the Palestinian NGO Development Center, under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance and Planning, and with funding from the World Bank. It targets the governorates of Nablus, Salfit, Jenin, and Tubas. Eng. Sawsan Salah, Director General of Nablus Directorate of Agriculture, emphasized the importance of this project in strengthening the role of rural women, particularly marginalized groups and women with disabilities, by providing sustainable economic opportunities that contribute to improving their standard of living and enhancing their participation in agricultural development.
