Jericho and Jordan Valley Directorate of Agriculture has organized a field visit to the Tubas/Northern Jordan Valley Governorate as part of the EVAP III project. The visit aimed to learn about successful agricultural practices and potentially transfer them to the central Jordan Valley.
The visit included a tour of greenhouses cultivating new export-ready crop varieties. Participants learned about modern greenhouse farming techniques and the management of high-value crops.
The visit also included a tour of the packing facility belonging to the Kurdla Agricultural Company. Participants observed the sorting and grading processes for several new vegetable varieties being prepared for export and learned about the technical standards used to ensure product quality and compliance with international market requirements.
This visit aimed to transfer successful agricultural practices and modern export varieties to the Jiftlik area, contributing to the development of agricultural production, enhancing the competitiveness of local products, and boosting marketing and export opportunities for farmers in Jericho and Jordan Valley Governorate.
