Qalqilya: February 9, 2026
Qalqilya Directorate of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), conducted a specialized workshop for fruit tree farmers in Qalqilya – specifically in areas behind the separation wall – as part of the EVAP III project.
The workshop focused on explaining step (2-1) of the project, which involves planning an awareness-raising field visit to Nablus Governorate/Al-Nasariya town. The aim of the visit is to learn about modern agricultural technologies and promote sound agricultural practices, thereby contributing to the development of agricultural production and achieving economic viability and profitability for farmers.
Workshop organizers emphasized the importance of exchanging practical experiences and observing successful agricultural models firsthand, as this plays a vital role in enhancing farmers' efficiency and improving the quality of production, particularly in the affected and isolated areas behind the wall. This workshop was implemented in cooperation with the Cooperative Society Behind the Wall - Qalqilya, as part of joint efforts to support the resilience of farmers and enable them to adopt modern and sustainable production methods, in line with the Ministry of Agriculture’s plans aimed at developing the agricultural sector and enhancing food security.
