
Ramallah and Al-Bireh: April 14, 2026
The technical committee at Ramallah and Al-Bireh Directorate of Agriculture, in cooperation with Engineer Muhammad Sawaftah from the auditing firm contracted by the European Union, received 11 new agricultural projects, bringing the total number of completed projects to 36 under the EU-funded agricultural assistance program in the governorate.
The projects were distributed across several towns, including Deir Ibzi', Safa, Bil'in, Ras Karkar, and Sinjil, with a total value of approximately 475,000 shekels. These projects are part of ongoing efforts to support farmers' resilience and enhance agricultural production.
The implemented projects included the construction of water collection wells, sheep pens, and the provision of beehives and related equipment. They also included the purchase of sheep, feed, and related equipment, the provision of agricultural tools to beneficiaries, fencing work, and the construction of greenhouses.
The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that these projects are part of its programs aimed at supporting the agricultural sector and empowering farmers, thereby contributing to improved income sources and enhanced agricultural sustainability in the governorate.
