Ministry of Agriculture: As part of "My Initiative" project in partnership with the (UNDP), Bethlehem Agriculture conducts a training for field schools in Za'tara to enhance the capabilities of livestock breeders.

Bethlehem Directorate of Agriculture, through the Head of the Livestock (Ruminants) Department, Engineer Muhammad Al-Basha, conducted a training activity within the Field Schools program at Za'tara. Ten farmers benefited from the training, which was part of the "My Initiative" project implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The project aims to support and empower livestock breeders and enhance the sustainability of livestock production. This training is part of a series of extension activities aimed at improving the efficiency of livestock breeders and providing them with modern technical knowledge and skills in herd management, proper nutrition, healthcare, and biosecurity. This contributes to improving productivity and mitigating the challenges facing the livestock sector.

Engineer Muhammad Al-Basha discussed the importance of the Field Schools approach as a participatory extension method that promotes the exchange of experiences among breeders and links scientific knowledge with practical application. This positively impacts the development of breeding practices and improves farmers' livelihoods. It is worth mentioning that “My Initiative” project is a strategic initiative implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and with the support of the IBSA Fund, with the aim of enhancing the resilience of rural communities, empowering livestock breeders, and achieving sustainable agricultural development in the targeted areas.
