The Ministry of Agriculture, represented by Bani Naim Agriculture and Veterinary Department/North Hebron Agriculture Directorate, carried out a field day specializing in pruning grape trees, targeting 15 female farmers from the town of Bani Naim, as part of the Ministry’s efforts to enhance the technical capabilities of male and female farmers and improve agricultural production.
The field day included a theoretical aspect during which the basics of grape pruning, its different types according to the cultivated varieties, and the importance of proper pruning in improving production quality and increasing production efficiency were introduced. The activity also included a practical field application on seedlings, with the aim of enabling female farmers to acquire the necessary practical skills and carry out pruning operations correctly.
This activity comes within the extension programs implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, in an effort to support rural women, build their capabilities, and enhance the sustainability of the agricultural sector.
