Ministry of Agriculture: Yatta Agriculture and Veterinary Department, with partners, distributed 1,100 bales of straw worth about 800,000 shekels to 302 beneficiaries across multiple communities in that area

Under the supervision of Yatta Agriculture and Veterinary Directorate, and in partnership with Oxfam and the Areej Foundation, the second phase of the project "Supporting Livestock Breeders in Maintaining Their Livelihoods and Adapting to Protracted Crises in Hebron Governorate, West Bank" was implemented. This phase included the distribution of 1,100 bales of hay (filler feed) to 302 livestock breeders, at a total value of approximately 800,000 shekels, as part of efforts to alleviate economic burdens and strengthen the resilience of farmers in light of current challenges.

The distribution process targeted ten areas in the Yatta Directorate: Munizel, Ghuwein, Kharaba, Al-Ateeriya, Umm Zeituna, Al-Buwaib, and Khallat Al-Hajar. The aid was delivered according to mechanisms that ensured equitable distribution and reached the most vulnerable groups.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that this intervention comes within its ongoing efforts and those of its partners to support the livestock sector and maintain the sustainability of agricultural production, especially in marginalized and threatened areas, in order to contribute to enhancing food security and improving the livelihoods of farmers.
