As part of the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to enhance food security and support the resilience of rural families, Yatta Agriculture and Veterinary Directorate oversaw and participated in an activity to distribute summer vegetable seedlings to 61 beneficiaries with home gardens in the areas of Al-Karmel, Al-Riha, As-Samu, and Yatta.

The activity included the distribution of 18,300 assorted summer vegetable seedlings, with 300 seedlings allocated to each beneficiary. The aim was to boost home-based agricultural production and contribute to achieving self-sufficiency for the targeted families, which will positively impact food security and improve the quality of available food.

This activity is part of the "Nutrition and Care of Palestinian Children through Agriculture" project, which aims to improve the nutritional and health levels of children and women and strengthen the role of home gardens in providing healthy, safe, and sustainable food for Palestinian families. The activity was implemented in partnership with Diakonia and Radio Hellen, and under the supervision and participation of the Ministry of Agriculture, represented by Yatta Agriculture and Veterinary Directorate, to ensure that support reached the target groups and provided the necessary technical guidance to maximize the benefits of the distributed seedlings.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirms its continued efforts to support farmers and rural families through the implementation of development programs and projects that contribute to enhancing food security and improving livelihoods, in line with its vision of supporting the resilience of citizens and empowering them to make sustainable use of agricultural resources.
