Under the supervision and participation of Gaza Directorate of Agriculture, and in cooperation with Oxfam and Gaza Culture and Development Group (GCDG), a project has been implemented to distribute transmission lines and irrigation networks—including necessary valves and connection fittings—to 77 farmers in Daribat Al-Dahdouh area.
This activity has been carried out against the backdrop of extensive damage inflicted on the agricultural sector in Gaza Strip caused by extermination war. This damage has affected land, facilities, equipment, and irrigation networks and supplies, directly impacting farmers' ability to continue working and producing.
Providing irrigation supplies and transmission lines represents a crucial intervention to support farmers, helping them restore key elements of their agricultural operations. It enables them to reactivate available land and resume production, thereby bolstering their resilience and contributing to the gradual recovery of agricultural activity.
This project builds upon a series of agricultural projects and interventions implemented across various areas of Gaza Strip. These initiatives aim to address farmers' basic needs, provide essential production inputs, and support efforts toward recovery and the restoration of the agricultural sector's productive capacity.
The Ministry of Agriculture emphasizes the importance of continued cooperation and coordination with partner institutions and organizations to implement further interventions that address farmers' actual priorities, support their resilience, and ensure the continuity of agricultural production in Gaza Strip.
